On April 3, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) successfully hosted the HUTECH IT OPEN DAY 2026, a landmark event celebrating its 10th anniversary as one of Vietnam’s premier career fairs for IT students. With more than 70 participating companies and 2,500 job opportunities, the event offered a dynamic platform for students to connect with employers and explore the future of technology careers.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President of HUTECH, expressed gratitude to partner organizations and emphasized the significance of the event: “This is the 10th time HUTECH IT OPEN DAY has been organized, marking a persistent journey of connection between the University and enterprises. The participation of more than 70 companies is clear proof of their trust in the quality of our training.”

With the rising demand for IT talent, especially in AI, data, and cloud, programs like this help students gain real-world exposure and prepare to enter the labor market.”

Throughout the day, IT and AI students participated in interviews, submitted CVs, and demonstrated their abilities for positions such as Information Security Engineer, Cloud Engineer, AI Engineering Intern, Backend Developer, and Fullstack Developer. Many impressed recruiters and secured job offers directly at the event.

The event created a “mini labor market” right within the university grounds, giving students the chance to receive direct feedback from employers, gain a clear understanding of recruitment requirements, essential skills, and real-world professional standards. Many young participants quickly impressed recruiters, caught their attention, and secured suitable job offers right at the event.
Mr. Le Quang Song, Director of CyberSoft Coding & Technology, noted: “HUTECH students have a solid knowledge base, strong work mindset, and enthusiastic spirit – qualities we highly value. Over the years, many interns have been retained as employees or advanced into roles such as mentors, teaching assistants, and programmers.”

The event also featured a vibrant technology exhibition with leading global brands including Intel, Gigabyte, Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and ViewSonic, alongside major distributors such as CellphoneS, Di Động Việt, Nguyễn Công PC, and Minh Tuấn Mobile. Students experienced cutting-edge AI solutions, drones, modern hardware, and advanced platforms, fostering creativity and innovation.
As part of the program, HUTECH signed strategic cooperation agreements with 15 leading enterprises, including major names such as FPT Software – FPT Group, VNPT Ho Chi Minh City – VNPT Group, TMA Technology Group, Di Động Việt Technology, CellphoneS, Minh Tuấn Mobile, HDBank, Alta Group, Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam, SCC Vietnam, KIT System Solutions Vietnam, Fujinet Systems, GateWay Vietnam, the Can Tho Institute of Science and Technology, and CyberSoft Coding & Technology. These agreements mark an important step in enhancing training quality, strengthening collaboration between the University and businesses, and expanding internship and career opportunities for students in the years ahead.

In parallel with recruitment and partnership activities, 38 Talent - Study Encouragement scholarships were awarded to HUTECH students. Sponsored by enterprises including Đại Việt, SacomBank, Mi Mi, SCC Vietnam, XBoss, and Jaxtina English Center, these scholarships serve as both recognition and motivation. They encourage academic excellence, inspire perseverance, and provide students with the support needed to pursue their dreams with confidence.
