Faculty of Law

I.INTRODUCTION
Established in 2014 through Decision No. 12/QĐ-HĐQT by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of HUTECH University, the Faculty of Law stands as a distinguished institution committed to excellence in legal education. Over the past decade, our faculty has cultivated a reputation for academic rigour and innovation, guided by a team of accomplished scholars and practitioners who bring both theoretical expertise and real-world experience to the classroom. The Faculty of Law's purpose is to nurture the next generation, who will contribute meaningfully to society, uphold justice, and drive positive change in their communities.
Faculty of Law 12
Our comprehensive legal education programs in Law, Economic Law, and International Trade Law are meticulously designed to prepare students for the complexities of today's interconnected global economy. The Faculty's curriculum reflects a forward-thinking approach that responds dynamically to the evolving landscape of legal practice and international commerce, continuously incorporating emerging trends, regulatory changes, and market demands to keep our graduates at the forefront of legal innovation. Students engage with a diverse range of specialized courses strategically selected to provide comprehensive coverage across multiple legal domains, including core legal foundations such as civil law, criminal law, and administrative law that establish essential frameworks for understanding Vietnam's legal system, business and economic-focused courses like business law and investment law that equip students with expertise for navigating complex commercial transactions and regulatory environments, and international trade specializations including international trade law, dispute resolution mechanisms, and commercial contract law that prepare students for the global marketplace with emphasis on cross-border transactions and international legal frameworks.
In addition to specialised knowledge, students also develop essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, organisational abilities, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. These competencies serve as vital assets, empowering graduates to confidently pursue careers in domestic and international enterprises, organisations, government agencies, and law firms.
To equip students not only with knowledge but also practical skills and experience in handling legal scenarios in professional environments, the Faculty of Law actively incorporates simulated training methods into its curriculum. Students can engage in numerous practical learning activities including mock trials, internships at courtrooms and law firms. Furthermore, students will have field visits to corporations and commercial banks, along with specialised knowledge application programs such as Law Day, Golden Bell Legal Challenge, and Legal Olympics competitions to test their skills and learn from others. These initiatives are designed to enhance students' professional competencies, practical application abilities, and real-world experience accumulation.

Extracurricular activities for students
Extracurricular activities and student initiatives with strong connections to legal studies are regularly held, providing students with practical exposure and enhanced professional skills. Notably, students specialising in International Trade Law and Economic Law receive focused training in legal English and subjects about international law and global commerce, preparing them to meet the demands for high-quality human resources in this era of global integration.
To provide comprehensive support for academic and practical training, HUTECH's Faculty of Law features modern, well-equipped classrooms along with a specialised Legal Practice Room designed for mock trials. This experiential learning environment enables students to develop essential legal case management competencies, preparing them thoroughly for professional careers in the legal field.
