The teaching staff and researchers of the Faculty comprises 3 Professors, 12 PhD's and 10 Masters majoring in a wide range of research fields in mechanics and construction. - FACULTY FACILITIES
HUTECH Geotechnical and Building Materials Center
Certified by the Ministry of Construction, this is a trusted center for practical testing and education in the field of civil engineering. Currently, the Center is engaged in numerous consulting projects with partners in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, contributing to the development of geotechnics, construction materials, and transportation.
Lab. of Soil Menchanics & Geology
The laboratory is equipped with a modern system of machinery and is managed and operated by a team of skilled staff, technicians, and collaborators with extensive experience and strong professional qualifications. It specializes in conducting tests to determine the mechanical properties and geotechnical parameters of soil, supporting foundation work through activities such as direct shear testing, consolidation testing, moisture content determination, and geotechnical surveys to identify key soil layer characteristics.
Lab. of Geodetic Survey
The laboratory provides students with hands-on experience in surveying using electronic total stations to measure angles, distances, elevations, and point coordinates on the ground surface. Students also learn to calculate grid-based terrain models, determine elevations, and conduct detailed topographic surveys at appropriate scales.
Lab. of Construction Materials
The laboratory comprises experimental facilities designed to identify the mechanical properties of construction materials, including tests for compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, and durability. These facilities support both educational and research activities, allowing students and researchers to analyze the performance and behavior of materials such as concrete, steel, asphalt, and masonry under various loading conditions.
