Faculty of Chinese Studies

The Faculty of Chinese Studies, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), offers two main academic majors: Chinese Studies and Oriental Studies (specialization in Chinese Studies), along with modules for learning Chinese as a second language.

After graduation, students are expected to be fluent in Chinese across all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Furthermore, students are equipped with comprehensive knowledge of economics, commerce, travel, translation, as well as theoretical aspects of the Chinese language, preparing them to excel in a Chinese-speaking work settings, including foreign enterprises and organizations, television stations, tourism and hospitality agencies.
