SOFTWARE AUTOMATION TESTING TRAINEE
DEPARTMENT: SERVICE DELIVERY

JOB SUMMARY
LogiGear is looking for talented and energetic engineers to join our professional training program, which covers comprehensive skills necessary to become a Software Quality Engineer at LogiGear. After successfully completing the program, graduates will be offered full time opportunities to join the LogiGear team.
The main role of a Trainee on this program is to gain experience in all aspects of Software Quality, and successfully complete all assignments, as well as completing assigned tasks from Supervisors. As part of this program, candidates will gain real world experiences working on live projects, where technical and soft skills will frequently be exercised.
RESPONSIBILITIES
During the program, instructors will expect candidates to complete all exercises, tasks and assignments on time. As candidates are working on live project as a fully functioned team member, candidates will need to apply the following skillsets introduced during the program:

Analyzing clients’ requirements and expectations
Hands-on with design and implement test cases
Hands-on with automated testing tool (TestArchitect, Selenium)
Hands-on with code implementation (Harness action)
Team collaboration and communication

Finally, candidates will need to demonstrate mastery of skills taught through an exam which will evaluate thoroughly skills that were introduced during the program.
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
The Software Quality Engineer needs to have the following skills for (Software Automation Test Training) SATT program:

Programming language skills (any of them): Java, C#, .Net, Python, C/C++
English skills are equivalent with TOEIC > 500 or TOEFL IBT > 60
Good at English communication and self-confident
Ability to learn quickly with good critical thinking
Testing skills (optional)
Self-monitor and teamwork skills (optional)

QUALIFICATION

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

AUTOMATION TEST ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY
LogiGear is looking for talented automation engineers with a great passion for designing and developing automation’s test cases using various technologies and methodologies such as BDD Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, and TestArchitect.
The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete assigned tasks from your direct superior on time.
Determine test objectives through detailed analysis in order to automate features comprehensively.
Develop, plan and implement automated test cases based on software requirements and technical understanding.
Develop and extend the current test automation infrastructure to be more efficient, both in execution and reporting.
Identify software capability and reliability by conducting functional, system, regression and performance tests.
Ensure the quality of work is always higher or at least met by the superior’s expectation
Verify whether the Application Under Test (AUT) works properly as designed (based on test requirements, system specification or test cases)
Get necessary testing environments configured correctly as needed to complete the assigned tasks.
Run tests (including manual test or automation test or both) against AUT builds/releases during its development lifecycle.
Ensure test runs adhere to client’s requirements and expectations.
Create good and effective bug reports. Be precise when logging/submitting defects into Bug Tracking system.
Follow the Bug Tracking process (open, monitor, update, close, reopen).
Use industry automation framework for the automation of relevant test procedures.
Review test plan document actively and provide feedbacks on the task assignments.
Assist in reviewing test cases, test scripts, and bugs reports.
Escalate issues to superior in timely manner
Report testing status and test results (daily or/and weekly) to superior (Project Leader or direct manager) accurately and in a timely manner.
In case of being in charge of a team, you must collect reports and make an overall report to send to superior or client if needed.
Self- study to upgrade software testing skills or relevant technologies to Software testing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Background in IT or Computer Science
Programming skill is a MUST (Preferably have experience with C++, C#, python/perl/php or other scripting languages)
2+ years in development or automated testing writing test cases, executing test cases.
2+ years’ experience with enterprise automation tools (Test Completed) or opened- source tools (Selenium, Appium or SoapUI).
Ability to develop harness actions using public APIs for automation testing purposes.
API testing is a plus.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of software development standards and quality assurance processes.
Experience with debugging using log files to trace issues.
Have good knowledge of testing methodologies & techniques and the defect reporting process.
Experience in working with Onshore/Offshore Outsourcing is a big plus.
Depth experience in areas of technology relevant to testing of given software products.
Shows initiative in gaining theoretical knowledge in software testing
Must have strong communication skill, and work well in both team and individual environments
Must be able to work responsibly, and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Join in all activities of implementation: proposing technical solutions for product features, coding, code review, unit test, and bugs fixing.
Join in all activities of Scrum: meetings of planning, daily scrum, grooming, and the demo & retrospective.
Update the work status and escalate the team’s impediments in the daily scrum.
Effectively communicate with others to resolve the impediments and also follow up them.
Contribute in building up a feature design document with a coordination of Product Owner and Product Designers.

Familiar with Mac OSX and Linux (RHEL).

Support new functionality controls to ensure compatibility with client applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

Background in IT or Computer Science
Be proactive, dynamic and autonomous.
Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Good working knowledge and experience in some programming languages such as: C/C++, Java (Swing library) dot Net (windows Forms), Visual Basic
