The Final Round of the "Environment & People" contest kicks off in an online format

Facing the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Institute of Applied Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) decided to change the existing format of the "Environment and People" contest into an online competition.

Kick - started in April 2021, the contest has attracted the participation of 100 teams in two competition groups each for university and high school students. After several preliminary rounds, the best 30 teams from both groups have been selected to advance into the Final Round.

This year, the competition gathers 100 teams from different universities and colleges and especially high schools.

The Final Round will include two parts: Painting “Portrait of the Environment” and Making Video clip, Poster presenting “Environmental Project”. Accordingly, the teams will create their products, then send the photo files and video clips to the Organizing Committee between the 7^th and 13^th of June. The final submissions will be posted on the Fanpage of the Institute’s Youth Union and Students Association beginning from the 14^th until the 18^th of June.

"Environment and People" is an annual academic competition aiming to create a playground for students to cultivate knowledge, display stewardship, and promote the spirit of preserving and protecting the environment. This year, the contest expands its scope to attract the participation of high school students that hopefully creates an exciting competition displaying interesting ideas from young people who are passionate about protecting the environment.
