Intense final match of HUTECH Union football tournament 2016

On Jan 7th Thanh Da Union hotel’s Football Stadium was over crowded with audiences who came to cheer for two best football teams of the 2016 Union football tournament of the HCMC University of Technology.
Consulting - Admissions - Communications (PR) and Coalition of Organization - Administration - Training - Testing & Quality Assurance - Information Technology (TC – ĐT - KT) both teams present in championship game was also the two teams that remain undefeated before the finals with running four wins streak.

While the Coalition TC-ĐT-KT is highly appreciated due to their roster consisting of some of the best player at HUTECH currently and especially includes the core members of P.E (physical education) teachers, on the other field of PR despite the uneven lineup, the players are all in one division and have been playing together for many years, overall PR team is a worthy opponent for the finals.
And the final match lineup has partially reflects the strength of the 2 teams. When the Coalition with 3 core players are P.E trainers with physic and technique advantage chose to be on the offensive right from the start, PR favored defensive maneuvers to start the game.

The defensive counter play style of PR team was taken in to effect, while the roster of Coalition still trying to figure out the way to their opponent’s goal an unexpected event occurred on the right: Duy Thịnh performed a precision pass to Trọng Khiêm (current King of scoring) who head-butted in to the first goal.
Though lacking cohesive play style, the Coalition has its players blooming in time. At the moment when all the long shots from outside the penalty line seemed benign then an extraordinary event happened, Van Ngoc ball went through two PR players before he precisely shot to score even for the Coalition bringing the score to 1-1 12 minutes into the game.

Near the end of the 1st half, Trong Khiem on the PR side had once again shot the ball into the goal of the Coalition but the score wasn’t recognized by the referee. Both sides left the field with a 1-1 even score.
Right at the start of the 2nd haft, PR has made fans as well as the opponent team surprised by changing their tactics; Duy Thinh was repositioned to the front line along with Trong Khiem to make a bombarding duo. And almost effective immediately, just after the 2nd offensive since the start of the 2nd haft. Duy Thinh passed both Van Danh and Van Chuong on the left wing to pass the ball inwards for Trong Khiem to once again defeat the goal keeper of the Coalition. And once again in the game, PR took the lead with the score 2-1.
Also just after that, the Coalition showed an exhilarating and intense match. Starting from the inadvertent tackle from PR side, Thanh Danh had the opportunity to make the close-net shot which brought the score back to the even 2-2.
The match then became very intense with collisions as well as constant offensives from both sides. The duo Thanh Danh and Van Duong of the Coalition that day had proved to be very formidable with coop maneuvers 1-2 and from a similar case; Van Duong scored the 3rd goal for the Coalition, that was the first time in the game the Coalition took the lead.
At that moment, PR had no other choice but to embrace the offense tactic. And the intense of the match was once again heightened when Duy Thinh took advantage of the Coalition’s goal keeper An Khang’s mistake to firmly printed his boot in all 3 of PR’s goals with the slight kick when the ball fell from the coal keeper’s hand.

At the end of the 2nd haft, both teams had made numerous attempts to finish the match but the devotion of the goalkeepers on both sides lead to the penalty rounds to determine the winner. And the final result was favoring the Coalition with the glorious victory scoring 4-3 on the penalty line.
With that, HUTECH Union 2016 Football tournament has found the new owner for the cup, that is the Coalition of Organization - Administration - Training - Testing & Quality Assurance - Information Technology. Despite their loss, PR team still is a formidable opponent with 6 times qualifying for the finals.

Besides presenting the gold medal for the first place Coalition, PR first runner up, the officials have also decided to award the team with a bronze medal for excellently surpassed the representative from UEF for the 3rd place. King of scoring tittle has also been awarded to Trong Khiem (wearing number 88) of PR with 21 goals.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Vice Rector Van Du remarked that the match was emotional and everyone’s a winner. Both the players and basically everyone who involves in the match is a winner because the most important thing is the spirit of unity in a HUTECH collective has always been strengthened and promoted when the season has ended.
Mr. Ngoc Anh – Director of Viet Pearl, the companion unit throughout the season has followed all the results in the season has expressed desire to continue sponsoring the tournament and promises double the financing next season.

The successful tournament has brought a beneficial experience for the staff-teacher-employee of the school, tightened the solid unity spirit of all who work and teaching at HUTECH. Good bye 2016 tournament and we hope to see a more promising and exciting season next year.
