Job orientation with Students at Faculty of Information Technology

Within 3 days of January 08th, 09th and 10th, 2019, over 1000 students at Faculty of Information Technology participated in a seminar named “Connect HUTECH students at Faculty of Information Technology to leading businesses in information technology” at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology(HUTECH).
The seminar attracted over 1000 students
Attending the seminar were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Dinh Bay, Dean of Faculty of Information Technology, lecturers and students at the Faculty. Moreover, representatives from businesses such as FPT Software Company HCMC, DXC Technology, and TMA Solutions Company also accompanied the students in the seminar.
Representatives of businesses and alumni shared their stories about career paths to success
The objective of the seminar was to help students get information about the needs of labor force from businesses and capture the development of IT in the upcoming time. Therefore, the Faculty may improve developing and training of human resources to meet the needs of the society.
At the meeting, leaders from businesses and HUTECH alumni shared their valuable experience and real stories on the ways to be successful in life. The highlight and major topics discussed were the need of recruitment, job trends, working environments, and student’s preparation before entering the IT workforce.

The seminar was a good opportunity for students to discuss and clarify key matters in job orientation with top IT businesses. Through the meeting, students received much informative experience and could prepare for the jobs well to meet the increasing demands in the society.
