HUTECH Faculty of Finance and Commerce builds the “House of Gratitude” for a family under preferential treatment policy in Can Gio District

On the morning of October 5, the Faculty of Finance and Commerce of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held the groundbreaking ceremony to begin the construction of the “House of Gratitude” given to a disadvantaged family under preferential treatment policy in Ly Nhon Commune, Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City.

The house is a donation to Mr.Tran Van Phuc's family living in Group #40, Ly Hoa Hiep Hamlet, Ly Nhon Commune, Can Gio District. Mr. Phuc, whose family belongs to a near-poor household, has been living in a house that was built in 1998. The current structure has significantly deteriorated and often experiences water damages during the monsoon season.

The construction of the new house is expected to be completed in two months

 
The total budget for the construction of the house is approximately 90 million VND from the support and donations of the collectives of HUTECH Faculty of Finance and Commerce, including leaders, lecturers, staff, students, and alumni. This meaningful project is part of a series of charitable activities leading up to the 25th Anniversary of HUTECH's establishment and affirming the institution’s social responsibility through joining hands in providing much-needed assistance to disadvantaged families and individuals facing difficult circumstances in local communities.
