HUTECH welcomes the delegation of the National Assembly of Lao PDR

On December 24, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed the visit of the delegation of the Lao National Assembly's Committee for Ethnic Minorities to HUTECH High-Quality Manpower Training Center.

Leading the delegation of the Lao National Assembly's Ethnic Affairs Committee was Ms. Buaphan LEEKAIYA - Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities. Representatives of HUTECH to welcome the delegation included Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet - Vice President of the University and Mr. Huynh Thanh Tung - Deputy Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Projects.

On this occasion, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet introduced the delegation to the process of establishment and development of HUTECH over the past 25 years. Besides, he also highlighted the recent outstanding achievements that HUTECH faculty and students have achieved in the areas of teaching, training, academics, as well as arts and culture.
 

In return, Ms. LEEKAIYA also shared information about the situation of Laotian students in Vietnam. At the same time, she also expressed her wish to have the opportunity to cooperate and promote student exchange between HUTECH and Lao PDR.

The Laotian delegation gives many compliments to HUTECH while touring the facilities at HUTECH High-Quality Manpower Training Center including laboratories, workshops, and self-study space, etc.

The visit from the Lao National Assembly delegation has further strengthened the friendship and bond between Vietnam and Laos. This has opened more opportunities for future cooperation, promoting student exchange, creating opportunities for HUTECH students to interact and learn from the community of international students in an increasingly more globalized world.
