On July 25, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held the Opening Ceremony to welcome the first intake of the 2020 graduate cohort including incoming Master’s and PhD students. On this occasion, 14 valedictorians were honored based on the score of the entrance exam for each graduate program.
The Opening Ceremony takes place at Hall D - 276 Dien Bien Phu Campus
Several HUTECH leaders were present at the opening ceremony, including Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet - Vice President, Dr. Le Dinh Luong - Head of the Office of Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Chau Duy - Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies along with several faculty leaders and heads of departments/institutes.

Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Chau Duy had an opportunity to meet with the incoming graduate class and introduced them to regulations and important information related to their study. Particularly, detailed explanations were provided concerning the graduate program curriculum, decision to award dissertation topics to PhD students, foreign language graduation requirements. Furthermore, the new graduate and PhD students also had the opportunity to learn about the learning environment at HUTECH through an overview of the system of laboratories and workshop facilities available on campus, library database that can be used in the course of their study and research at the university.
