HUTECH students learn about “Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills” when applying for jobs at foreign companies

In the afternoon of August 15th, 2019, the seminar “Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills” of Institute of International Education took place at the main campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology(HUTECH).
The main speaker of the seminar was Ms. Lisa Nguyen Thao, a senior financial consultant at Royal Dutch Shell, a global group of energy and petrochemical companies in the Netherlands. She had 29 years of experience working at international companies.

At the seminar, Ms. Lisa Nguyen Thao pointed out elements of a standard resume. She also shared her valuable experience, hints, and tips on how to write an impressive resume and show the candidate’s strength.
With practical experience, the seminar was a great opportunity for students when applying for a job at international companies
Through many activities such as interview, quizzes, and group work, she vividly conveyed the content of the seminar and answered all students’ questions. According to her, the essential thing to have a successful interview is that a candidate should determine exactly what the employer or interviewer looks for in the job.
After the seminar, HUTECH students were able to have the best preparation for the job interview in a desirable working environment.
