HUTECH Institute of Engineering students transform with LED lights in the “Designing LED circuit applications” 2020 contest

On December 23, HUTECH Institute of Engineering held the final round of the “Designing LED circuit applications” 2020 contest with the theme “FUTURE”. The competition showcased several innovative models impressing the panel of judges and guests.

The finished products are evaluated based on several criteria, namely creativity, aesthetics, scientific value, applicability, and commercial viability.
The contest included two rounds requiring the contestants to showcase their design through product display and concept presentation. Each creation is judged based on several criteria (i.e., creativity, aesthetics, scientific value, applicability, and commercial viability) as well as its ability to highlight the contest’s “Future” theme.
After examining the finished products and listening to the design concept and implementation from each team, the panel of judges announced the following winners:
>>> First Prize: 16DTDE1 with the model "Smart Home"
>>> Second Prize:
- 17DCTA2 with the model "Cherry Blossom Park"
- 18DCTJA1 with the model "Flying Car"
>>> Third Prize:
- 16DDTA1 with the model “Interactive hand and cone”
- 17DCTA1 with the model “LED cubic matrix”
- 17DTDA2 with the model “HUTECH - CNC Building”
>>> Consolation Prize:
- 16DCTA2 with the model “Infinity Mirror”
- 17DTDJA1 with the model "Landmark 81 Tower"
- 17DYSA1 with the model "Vietnam History Museum"
From the successes in this year’s competition, students are further motivated to realize their dreams of bringing their innovative LED designs and useful applications to the market. Also within the framework of the event, a memorandum of cooperation has been signed between HUTECH and VI-LIGHT Corp.

Through this agreement, VI-LIGHT will provide HUTECH Institute of Engineering students with internships and job opportunities. The two sides will also cooperate in the areas of training, research, technology exchange, scholarship, etc.
