HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences leads in the medal tally at the 2018 HUTECH GAMES

On April 13, 2018, Student Sports Fest, 2018 HUTECH GAMES, witnessed the championship matches in several categories of Badminton, including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. After these matches, there have been major changes to the medal tally of the 2018 HUTECH GAMES.

HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences has risen to the top of the medal count with 1 gold medal in women's doubles and 1 silver medal in women's singles. The Faculty of Law also excelled in reaching the third place in terms of overall medal count.

The competition day also witnessed several Faculties/Institutes winning their first medals. Among these, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management; Institute of Professional Training; Institute of International Education; Faculty of Architecture and Arts; Faculty of English all added to their list of achievements with gold medals in different competitions.

After 5 weeks of intense competitions, 15 Faculties/Institutes have made it onto the medal scoreboard with 17 sets of medals awarded to the top teams and individuals.

Major changes are expected to the medal counts after April 21 when up to 7 sets of medals will be awarded in the following categories: women's football, women's volleyball, men's soccer, men's chess, women's chess, and men's volleyball and cheerleading. Among the leading faculties, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and the Faculty of Pharmacy are two teams with the opportunity to secure the top position. However, it is still too early to make any definitive conclusions as the results of several upcoming competitions remain to be unfolded. The next few days of the 2018 HUTECH GAMES will be extremely exciting to watch.
