HUTECH Institute of Engineering students get excited about the 2018 LED Application Design Competition

On December 28, the Institute Engineering of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the 2018 LED Application Design Competition with the theme "Creative" which attracted a large number of student contestants and audiences.
The contest judges included members of HUTECH Institute of Engineering, namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung - Vice Director, Dr. Nguyen Van Nhanh - Vice Director, Dr. Nguyen Hoai Nhan - Vice Director, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa - Vice Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management among other faculty and staff of the Institute of Engineering.

The participating teams went through 2 rounds of competition including model construction and display followed by the presentation explaining the finished product and design concept based on the application of previously learned knowledge and theories. The judges praised the contestants for their creativity and the high degree of functionality of their products embracing the “Creative” theme of the contest.

After reviewing and evaluating the finished products based on the general criteria of the competition, the judges awarded Group 01 (class 17DOTA3) the First Prize for their impressive and highly functional LED model designed. Two Second Prizes were awarded to Group 06 (class 16DTDE1) and Group 12 (class 16DTDJA1). Three teams also received the Third Prize including Group 02 (class 16DOTA1, 17DCTA2), Group 03 (class 15DCT02), and Group 20 (class 15DOT01).
