On September 17, the Institute of Engineering of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has cooperated with CarTek Service Trading Co., Ltd to organize the Seminar titled “Application of diagnostic equipment and simulators in teaching automotive electrical systems.”
The seminar was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Thuy - Representative of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD), members of the University’s Board of Presidents, leaders of the Institute of Engineering and Mr. Huynh Cong Thuan - Technical Director of CarTek. The seminar also welcomed the participation of engineers from CarTek Company and representatives of several universities and colleges with automotive engineering training programs in Ho Chi Minh City.

The seminar focused on discussing issues surrounding modern automotive diagnostic technologies that are being widely applied in the market with several presentations, including “On-Board Diagnostics 2”, “Emission testing procedures in developed countries and Vietnam” and “Automotive diagnostics course and student training issues”.

The speakers also proposed some solutions to apply diagnostic equipment and simulators in teaching automotive electrical systems at HUTECH. Students of the Institute of Engineering also practiced diagnostics on cars with advanced technology equipment prepared by CarTek.
With the support from CarTek Service Trading Co., Ltd., the “Center for Technology Research and Development of Automotive Diagnostic, Repair and Simulation" is expected to be an ideal “lecturer hall” for HUTECH students. Having access to this learning facility, students will have the opportunity to experience and apply modern automotive engineering technologies to practice and improve their skills.
