HUTECH welcomed The Academy at Harvard Square

On April 10, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a meeting with The Academy at Harvard Square (TAHS), aiming to expand future academic exchanges and research collaboration between both parties.

The Academy at Harvard Square is an educational and research organization based in Harvard Square, Boston, USA. With a view to providing high-quality educational programs, TAHS contributes to enabling students and scholars to engage in interdisciplinary research and academic activities. The organization relentlessly collaborates with leading global universities to promote the sharing and development of multinational knowledge.

Representing HUTECH were Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Vice President and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong - Vice Director of the Institute of International Education. As TAHS representatives, there were Mr. David YS Hong - TAHS Korean Director and Mr. Jay Jinseop Jang - Director & Senior Fellow of Korea Peninsula Project, Center for Peace, Democracy and Development, University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Initially, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong briefly introduced HUTECH including its facilities, training programs, academic activities, student career orientation, strengths of the training program of the Institute of International Education, etc. In response, Mr. Jay Jinseop Jang, with his experience in education, recognized HUTECH’s achievements and emphasized the Institute’s potential. He also mentioned the importance of training program enhancement, which would assist students in gaining basic knowledge and the ability to face future challenges in foreign countries.

Both parties’ representatives discussed future cooperation programs
 
Furthermore, representatives further discussed several aspects of cooperation and student exchange programs in detail. In addition, Dr. Ly Thien Trang shared about the upcoming international exchange activities and her aspiration to boost research collaboration with more universities in the U.S..

The meeting resulted in establishing abundant possibilities for both universities for future research cooperation and international education, bringing out the potential for numerous learning and exchange opportunities for HUTECH students.
