On April 11, 2024, the Korean Business Recruitment Festival - KOREA JOB FAIR 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) officially opened with the participation of more than 30 Korean businesses, bringing more than 1,500 internships and quality job opportunities for students.
Taking place at Thu Duc Campus, the festival was organized by the Center for Corporate Relations in collaboration with the Vietnam - Korea Institute of Technology (VKIT) and the Faculty of Korean Studies to provide HUTECH students direct interviews with recruiters at booths to "hunt" for professional job positions.

Special performances at the job fair
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice Principal emphasized the role and importance of promoting cooperation with businesses: "KOREA JOB FAIR 2024 is an important turning point, marking the strong cooperative relationship of HUTECH with Korean businesses. This is also an opportunity for HUTECH students to learn about the labor market, apprehend employer requirements, and accumulate necessary skills for their future career journey".
With the goal of expanding the business connection map, right at the opening ceremony, HUTECH signed cooperation agreements with five Korean businesses to open up practical learning and employment opportunities for students. These agreements are in accordance with the training strategy that the school has pioneered and actively promoted over the years.

HUTECH signed partnership agreements with five Korean businesses
In order to strengthen the learning spirit and recognize the students' efforts to overcome difficulties, DM&C Vietnam Company awarded five scholarships with a total value of 20,000,000 VND to HUTECH students with difficult economic situations and excellent academic achievements. This was a huge encouragement for those students to continue to strive in their studies.

Korean businesses awarded five scholarships to students
Right after the opening ceremony, thousands of HUTECH students who were enthusiastic about exploring the work environment at Korean businesses had their initial “interaction” with a plethora of job openings. Without needing to do anything, students could connect with potential employers right at the university hall.

The festival also garnered a great deal of attention and participation from Korean organizations, associations, companies, and businesses such as Mr. Choi Bundo - Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (KOCHAM); Mr. Kim Su-yeon - Director of the Korean Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Support Agency in Vietnam; Mr. Nam Dae Geun - Director of Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH); Mr. Park Min Kyu - Director of National IT Promotion Agency in Ho Chi Minh City - NIPA; Mr. Bak Ji-hyeon - Director of King Sejong 3, etc. along with representatives of more than 30 business units participating in recruitment at the festival.
