On March 07, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in coordination with University of Nottingham (UK) held the “UK-VN knowledge exchange for multi-material additive manufacturing” workshop.

The workshop took place at HUTECH Saigon Campus
 

There were a myriad of discussions between HUTECH Faculty of Pharmacy and University of Nottingham, aiming to boost sustainable development in significant regions/countries as well as exposing to the process of additive manufacturing and application of 3D printing in pharmacy.

Also, other representatives attended the workshop, namely Mr. Gareth Davies -  Representative of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC); Dr. Huynh Huu Nghi - Lecturer of Bach Khoa University - Ho Chi Minh City National University; Dr. Thai Hoang Chien - Vice Director of Institute for Advanced Study in Technology; Dr. Dau Van Huan - CEO of Vinnotek Company.
 

The workshop covered 04 reports such as Additive manufacturing - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung; Polycaprolactone (PCL) filaments modified by plasticizers for 3D printing in biomedical applications - Ms. Thai Le Phuong Anh (Head of HUTECH Biomedical Engineering); Fabrication of carboxymethyl chitosan bio-ink for 3D bone scaffold application - Dr. Dau Van Huan; 3D printing technology in medical and healthcare: Some case studies - Dr. Huynh Huu Nghi.
