HUTECH Institute of International Education welcomed University of Hertfordshire

On April 23, 2024, the Institute of International Education of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had a meeting with University of Hertfordshire (UK) with an aim to expand partnership, connection, exchange, and scientific research activities.
The meeting took place at Saigon Campus
Representing the University of Hertfordshire was Prof. John Senior - International Research Cooperation Lecturer, Office of the Vice President.

HUTECH representatives included Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Vice President, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong - Vice Director of the Institute of International Education, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Viet - Head of the Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Hoang Ngoc Nhung - Head of the Department of International Project Management & Commercialization, and Dr. Phung Van Phuc - Lecturer of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Initially, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong briefly introduced the facilities of HUTECH, training programs of the Institute of International Education, information on student exchange programs, scientific research projects in collaboration with external units, and some research areas of the key research groups.
In response, Prof. John Senior eagerly expressed his desire in the expansion of research cooperation by means of the distribution of research funds and the establishment of connections among experts in various fields. Also, he aspired to develop long-term partnership with HUTECH and send students for exchange programs in the upcoming 1-2 academic terms.
Recognizing similarities in research and educational perspectives, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Viet proposed to organize a joint international conference between the two parties. In addition, Dr. Hoang Ngoc Nhung shared about research orientations that HUTECH is currently pursuing and implementing.
HUTECH representatives presented gifts to Prof. John Senior
The discussion resulted in long-term and sustainable cooperation in scientific research and student exchange activities between both universities. This is also the international training objective HUTECH has been following for many years.
