Representatives of Musashino Foods visited and had a meeting with HUTECH

On March 4th, Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed and met with representatives of Musashino Seika Co., Ltd. to discuss plans of future internships and development cooperation.

Joining the meeting were Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet - Vice President of HUTECH, Director of VJIT; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung – Vice Director of VJIT; Mr. Arai Haruo - Human Resources Director of Musashino Seika Co., Ltd..

VJIT and Musashino Foods Group are implementing an internship program for students of related majors, which is divided into two phases. Specifically, the first phase took place from November 2019 and will last until May 2020 with the participation of 08 Food Technology students, in Musashino Okinawa. The second phase is expected to start in May 2020 and will last for about 9 months, for students of Food Technology and Biotechnology.

The students participating in these internships are placed in almost every major department of the factory depending on each topic of each week. In addition, students also attend weekly classes at Musashino Foods to improve Japanese proficiency, specialized knowledge, communication skills and behavioral culture in Japanese businesses, to equip themselves and be ready for the labor market in the future.

Also at the meeting, leaders of the two sides discussed cooperation plans in the near future such as expanding the internship plan for students of the Hospitality and and Tourism majors, recruiting personnel. Musashino Foods is expecting to recruit students of majors such as Food Technology, Hotel Administration, Tourism & Travel Management,... to meet the needs of expansion and development in the Vietnamese market. This is an ideal opportunity for HUTECH students who want to develop their careers in a professional and competitive Japanese business environment.
