“Vocational Exchange and Opportunities for IT students in Japan” rocking HUTECH
On Feb 27th 2016, HUTECH offered the Vocational Exchange and Opportunities for IT Students in Japan to its juniors and seniors.
IT students roaming the event
The event was for providing the new IT generation of HUTECH the ticket to the talks of the area’s experts, businesses from Japan and a strong initiation of their profession.
Opening the day, Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hoàng Việt-Vice President of HUTECH and Head of Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT)-shared: “According to a survey conducted by Japan’s Informatics Technology Promotion Agency (IPA), over 60% of Japanese companies have run short of HR of IT for the past 5 years. In 2009, the rate stopped at 5%. But this year, it has jumped to a whopping 19%, nearly 4 times more serious. This has put the Japanese into the dilemma of “foreign HR or death”. As the result, they have placed Vietnam into their list of favorite, chosen by 31,5% of the companies. And that is why we are all here today. These experts from Japan are going to help orientate your approaching to a Japanese firm.”
Mr. Hirata, Director of LifeCreations Company, giving his speech to the attendees
At the event, Mr. Hirata, Director of LifeCreations Company, said: “Japanese enterprises in general, and ours in particular have been struggling with seeking for trained, professional and Japanese-speaking talents. And the fact is that seniors absolutely have enough time to spend on Japanese language learning, and then meet the requirements of the Japanese’s.”
Scratching the right spot, the event fared really well in attracting the seniors and juniors of our IT Department. They were even more convinced after absorbing the sharing with Mr. Phạm Minh Tâm, from HUTECH’s Department of Consultancy-Admission-Media, who had spent 5 years settling in “the country of the rising sun.”
Phạm Minh Tâm sharing the stories of his time in Japan
“Japanese is not mission-impossible with the help of strong will and effectively chosen methodologies. Moreover, if you choose to simultaneously work and learn the language, you can lead in the race of getting a vocational opportunity for a Japanese firm”, shared Tâm. After the talk with the one who had proved the paying-off of choosing the IT as life career, our students broke the ice by showing their actual interest with more relevant questions.
Exciting FAQ sessions with the honorable guests
The attendants also had a talk to Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Thùy, Director of Japanese Language Center of HUTECH. She introduced them the short term programs being held by the Center and added: “Attendants will be brought 50%-fee scholarships sponsored by Japanese for the courses in the 2nd semester, 2015-2016”
At the end of the widely-supported event, Mr. Võ Đình Bảy, Head of IT Department, made his speech about the importance of IT engineers in the integration era, as well as the role of Japanese language in helping them succeed.
From now on, there will be more events like this targeting students of other departments as hunted-heads for Japanese businesses in industries of Electrics-Electronics, Mechanics, Automobile, Construction, Bio Technology, Food Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, etc.
