“An introduction to wedge wire filter technology of Toyo Screen - Japan” seminar provides an opportunity for HUTECH students majoring in environmental engineering to learn about modern technology while enabling a better understanding of future career orientation.

Mr. Lam Vinh Son - Vice Director of HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences
Taking place on October 15, the seminar was held at HUTECH High-Quality Manpower Training Center and led by Mr. Lam Vinh Son - Vice Director of HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences. The program also welcomed the participation of several experts, including Mr. Pham Tan Tai - Managing Director of Uchimura Vietnam Company and Ms. Phan Cam Binh - Director of Mico Eco Vietnam Company.

Students can directly observe the operation of the wedge wire filter device utilized advanced technology and manufactured by Japanese-based Toyo Screen
At the workshop, students were able to directly observe the operation of the device based on the principle that the trapped solids accumulate outside and slide down to a separate container, while the liquid will flow through the membrane. This technology is widely applied in water and waste treatment with high efficiency with a combination of scientific research and traditional experience.

Mr. Pham Tan Tai shares many valuable start-up experiences and suggested several promising career trends to students
Mr. Pham Tan Tai also shared with students about his entrepreneurial journey and valuable experiences in different positions. Through this practical discussion, students in the Environmental Engineering program who are interested in starting up their business can feel more motivated and confident in their future career path. Besides, the wedge wire filter device introduced in today’s seminar has a promising potential to be applied in everyday life and production to optimize profits.
After attending the seminar, students went away with valuable advice and suggestions from the guest speakers that serve as great motivation and food for thought in planning their future careers while continuing the study at the university.
