On December 2, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed representatives of two universities from Europe, including Uppsala University (Sweden) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands) to the university's main campus.
On this visit, representatives from European universities included Mr. Björn Nyström - EVENT Project Coordinator, Division for Internationalization, Uppsala University (Sweden) and Mr. Erik Haarbrink - Project Manager and Coordinator of International Relations, University of Groningen (Netherlands). From HUTECH, there was the presence of leaders from HUTECH Institute of International Education, Vietnam - Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), as well as relevant departments and faculties.

At this meeting, Mr. Björn Nyström and Mr. Erik Haarbrink discussed with HUTECH representatives the activities and tasks related to the implementation of the EVENT project. Besides, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung (Vice Director of VJIT) also gave a brief presentation on the Project Design (PD) program that has been successfully integrated into the undergraduate curriculums of VJIT that offer students the opportunities to be equipped with both in-depth subject knowledge, practical skill and experience. Through the review of this innovative training model, the delegates from the European universities highly appreciate the application of advanced teaching methods to improve the quality of program training and qualifications of students.

Two European representatives visit and survey the Career Centre located in Building A (HUTECH Main Campus)
On this occasion, the European representatives also visited and surveyed the Career Center located at HUTECH Main Campus. This is a modern computer lab sponsored by the EVENT project, which is fully equipped with equipment, interactive boards, printers, projectors, etc. and built according to European standards. More importantly, discussions on the functions and role of the Career Center in providing training sessions on soft skills, career counseling, and job support for students.

Many plans on skills training and comprehensive development for HUTECH students provide favorable conditions for international integration through the activities of the EVENT project
During the visit, the two sides have shared views and visions for future cooperation. These international cooperation programs will enable a perfect environment to help HUTECH students develop more comprehensively while being equipped with both subject knowledge, practical experience, and soft skills in the course of their studies.
