On April 22nd, the Faculty of Law, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH) organized a scientific conference, "Laws of the circular economy in Vietnam Today". The program received the attention of many in positions of management, scientists, officials, lecturers, and law students at HUTECH.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Dr. Bui Van The Vinh said that global economic growth had achieved outstanding achievements, but along with that is the shortage of natural resources and increasing environmental pollution. To overcome these problems, countries worldwide, including Vietnam, aim to develop a circular economy. However, due to Vietnam’s current limited impact l, the goal is to strive to contribute on an increasing basis to become a recognized voice. .
At the workshop, the participants listened to six presentations on the concept of circular economy; the model of applying circular economy in local businesses, designing for the circular economy, gaining experience in developing a circular economy, and the importance of circular economy in Vietnam.

Discussions around circular economy issues
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thai Van Nam analyzed driving factors for and barriers to implementing a circular economy in Vietnam.
Next, Dr. Vo Trung Tin continued by sharing his presentation on the topic "Law concerning the protection of natural resources with circular economy development". This speech offered solutions, purposes behind, and suggestions for amending and supplementing economic development.
Dr. Vo Trung Tin said it is necessary to protect natural resources simultaneously with the development of the circular economy.
In addition to those reports, the seminar provided opportunities for many opinions, contributions, and discussions from experts, researchers, and lawyers. This input helped to summarize the results achieved by the workshop, thus bringing many valuable ideas to everyone, and raising issues that need to be further studied concerning circular economy law.
