On December 11, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held discussions with Chung Ang University of South Korea on multiple directions for cooperation in education, research, and the development and implementation of an ODA project proposal for the 2027 phase.

Representing Chung Ang University at the working session were Dr. Park Sang Gue, President, Dr. Woo Su Han, Vice President for International Cooperation, and Dr. Shin Joong Beom, Director of University Development and International Relations
The meeting focused on exchanging views and reaching consensus on cooperation directions to develop an ODA project proposal expected to be submitted to the Korean Ministry of Education for consideration in the 2027 phase. Building on existing and ongoing bilateral cooperation programs, representatives of both universities discussed the possibility of expanding the scope of the proposal to highly applicable fields such as logistics and artificial intelligence, in line with digital transformation trends and the demands of education and research in an increasingly internationalized context.

HUTECH representatives expressed their expectation that, once approved, the ODA project would create a solid foundation for advancing scientific research activities and leveraging the professional strengths of the university’s faculties and institutes. Within the framework of the meeting, both sides exchanged ideas on developing the proposal content, with a particular focus on establishing an in-depth logistics program linked to research on the Vietnam Korea supply chain, aiming for strong practical relevance and effective future implementation.

From the Chung Ang University side, university leaders shared their experience in developing and implementing ODA projects and emphasized the importance of thorough proposal preparation with clear objectives and long-term orientation. CAU representatives highly valued the potential for cooperation between the two universities in education and applied research, and affirmed their readiness to work closely with HUTECH in finalizing the proposal for submission to the Korean Ministry of Education in the coming period.

As part of the program, representatives of the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding, officially laying the foundation for cooperation between HUTECH and Chung Ang University. The signing ceremony marked the initial step toward upcoming ODA projects as well as future joint academic and research programs.
