On June 29, the Faculty of Chinese Studies, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed and worked with the Committee for the Promotion of the National Chinese Language Proficiency Test, Taiwan for the purpose of discussing the cooperation in organizing the TOCFL exam at HUTECH.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Wu Chun - Chang - Representative of the Committee for the Promotion of the National Chinese Language Proficiency Test, Taiwan; Mr. Truong Chi Cuong - Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives of the Faculty of Chinese Studies were Dr. Kieu Thi Van Anh - Dean of Faculty; Dr. Huynh Bich Ngoc - Vice Dean of Faculty.

The closing meeting opened up the opportunity to host the prestigious international exam for HUTECH Chinese language students as well as students from schools in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is known that TOCFL stands for Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language or Test of Chinese Language Proficiency, which is a proficiency test for speakers of a native language other than Chinese. The exam was compiled starting from 2001 and was first used in 2003. Up to now, the exam has seen the registration of candidates from more than 60 countries around the world.
