HUTECH Students to be Highly Awarded in the 22nd Vietnam’s Student Olympiad in IT 2013

From November 26th to 30th, 500 Informatics and Telecommunication students from 71 colleges and universities around the country was competing in the 22nd Vietnam’s Student Olympiad in IT 2013 (OPL’13). Being highly awarded, HUTECH students have added significant medals into the school achievements in the past years.
HUTECH students have earned 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 1 encouragement prize
The OPL’13 was efficaciously held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, National IT Group, National Student Association and Duy Tan University in Da Nang city. The event introduced two forms of competition: Individual and team work.
Competed in the single plays were professional and semi-professional IT Group (Category A & B), College Group (Category F), Olympic Super Cup IT Group (Category E) while Open Source Software group (Category H) participated in team.

Since the major increase in numbers of competitors in OPL’13, HUTECH had well prepared in both knowledge and professional skills which resulted in achieving high prizes:
- Runner-up prize in College Single Competition: Vo Tan Tho – Class 11CTH04
- Third prize in Semi-professional IT Single Competition: Do Cao Thuong Duong – Class 13DTH04
- Third prize in Semi-professional IT Single Competition: Nguyen Thien Thanh – Class 13DTH06
- Encouragement prize in College Single Competition: Tran Duc Ninh – Class 11CTH01
The distinct awards have again confirmed the prestige and quality of HUTECH institution among Vietnamese education system.
