Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is officially authorized to train Doctor of Philosophy

On the twelth of January, 2014, Associate Professor, Doctor of Science Bui Van Ga, Vice Minister of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, gave HUTECH Decision No. 6099/QD-BGDDT signed on December 30^th, 2013, which sanctions HUTECH in training PhD in Electrical Engineering.

As a result of nearly 20 years of successful development, HUTECH is one of the very few institutions that are authorized to train Doctor of Philosophy by the Ministry of Education and Training. HUTECH has efficaciously produced more than 1000 Masters in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environment Engineering, Informatics Technology, Civil Engineering, Business Management and Accounting. Over 100 Electrical Engineering Masters out of those have worked and succeeded in numbers of domestic and international enterprises.

HUTECH has provided proficient lecturers with highly status including 4 Professors, 15 Associate Professors and 153 Doctors of Philosophy and Doctor of Science. In addition, Electrical Engineering Department has possessed a number of excellent professors in the same major who joined many projects and worked in a variety of researches approved by the government.

Dr. Bui Van Ga stated, “The institutions which are qualified to train Doctor of Philosophy must be strictly evaluated by the Ministry of Education and Training and pass all requirements. HUTECH has been known for its competitive Electrical Engineering Major training and huge numbers of excellent professors in this major. The Ministry of Education and Training, thus, decided to authorize HUTECH to train Doctor of Electrical Engineering since 2014.”
