“Vietnam Study Tour Program 2024” facilitates international exchange between HUTECH’s and UNIMAS’s lecturers and undergraduates

On the morning of May 5th, the Institute of International Education – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held the opening ceremony of the “Vietnam Study Tour Program 2024 – UNIMAS” and welcomed the delegation of the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). The exchange program brings cultural and academic experience for students and lecturers of both sides.
Representatives of HUTECH included Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Vice President, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Anh – Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Chi Thang – Vice Senior Director of the Institute of International Education, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong – Vice Director of the Institute of International Education, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao – Vice Director of the Institute of International Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Tu – Dean of the Faculty of Marketing – International Business, Ms. Dinh Hai Yen – Director of the Center for International Relations.

On May 5th, HUTECH’s representatives first met the delegation of UNIMAS at Tan Son Nhat airport, starting the international student exchange program in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of May 6th, the UNIMAS delegation and HUTECH excitedly checked in at the Saigon Campus
Opening the program, HUTECH introduced the overview of the “Vietnam Study Tour Program 2024 – UNIMAS”, welcoming 27 students and lecturers of UNIMAS studying at HUTECH and sightseeing at well-known destinations in HCMC and neighboring provinces from May 5th to May 12th. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien also expressed his formal greeting, objective, and meaning of this program. The importance of cultural and academic connection between the two sides was especially emphasized.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Lan Huong briefly introduced the culture and people of Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen further addressed the aim to implement student exchange to engage in English classes at UNIMAS in the near future.

The international student exchange - “Vietnam Study Tour Program 2024” offers HUTECH’s students international studying and experience to accompany UNIMAS’s students and lecturers at upcoming events.
