On August 6th, the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had a discussion session with representatives of JETRO Tokyo R. Office and JETRO Ho Chi Minh City, creating a premise for cooperation with Japanese government agencies, and providing prospective career opportunities for post-graduates.
HUTECH welcomed and worked with representatives of the JETRO Tokyo Office and JETRO Ho Chi Minh
JETRO, Japan External Trade Organization, is a government-related organization that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world.
JETRO representatives were:
- Mr. Swastik Kulkarni - Project Manager, Global Talent Acquisition Department,
- Ms. Momoka Urano - Member of the Division of JETRO Tokyo Office,
- Ms. Kawasaki Minako - Deputy Head of JETRO Ho Chi Minh Representative,
- Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Suong - Specialist.

- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh - Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors;
- Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice Director of VJIT
- Dr. Ha Minh Tuan - Vice Director

During the working session, Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh expressed his gratitude to JETRO and stated that he expected the two parties to continue developing prospective cooperation programs. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung thanked JETRO's HCMC for supporting VJIT in connecting with enterprises. Moreover, he also shared the results of the Technology & Recruitment Fair of Japanese enterprises - Japan Job Fair 2024 on July 27th.

In response, Ms. Kawasaki Minako presented several projects to connect Japanese enterprises with HUTECH students. According to Mr. Kawasaki, the number of Japanese FDIs in Vietnam is increasing. Therefore, the demand for recruiting individuals qualified in expertise and Japanese is a priority.
The two sides negotiated many cooperation issues, resulting in benefits for both parties
The meeting expands HUTECH's business network
The meeting opened up prospects for cooperation between HUTECH and the Japan Trade Promotion Organization (JETRO). Hopefully, after the meeting, students will have more options to study, experience, and work in professional settings both in Vietnam and Japan.
