On August 8th, the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held an MOU signing ceremony with Jissen Women's University (JWU) (Tokyo, Japan) to expand learning opportunities and international cultural experiences for students.

Jissen Women's University was established in 1899 by Utako Shimoda, a pioneer in modern Japanese women's education. She sought to educate women to be independent, and encouraged them to play an active role in bettering the world. Its goal today is to nurture global citizens who can bring about positive changes in society and work to shape a better future.
Representatives of HUTECH at the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam - Vice Chairman, Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh - Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice Director of VJIT, Dr. Ha Minh Tuan - Vice Director.

The delegation of JWU attended the meeting were Mr. Namba Masanori - President, Mr. Nakayama Tomokazu - Director of Center for Language Education and International Programs, and Mr. Uchida Yusuke - Director of the President's Office.

At the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam shared the vision and development goals of HUTECH. Due to the support of Japanese partners, HUTECH has established the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), providing students with multiple opportunities to experience the foreign learning and working environment in Japan. This not only helps students improve their capabilities but also contributes to promoting the image of HUTECH to the global.
Representatives of Jissen Women's University also introduced the history and outstanding achievements of JWU. Additionally, they shared useful information about the scholarship programs, dormitory costs, and modern facilities of the university, ensuring that HUTECH students receive the best conditions when studying here.
