To strengthen collaborative relationships and implement joint educational programs for students, the Institute of International Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) met with representatives from Monash University (MU) on October 1.
The meeting took place at the Saigon Campus
Representing Monash University was Ms. Thuy Vo, Director of ASEAN Affairs. HUTECH was represented by Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Vice Director of the Institute of International Education, and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management.

During the meeting, MU discussed the potential for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions in the near future. Ms. Thuy Vo emphasized that a formal agreement would enhance collaboration and improve the effectiveness of program implementation. Both sides also discussed timelines and plans for career-oriented programs and recruitment within their cooperative framework.

In addition, HUTECH expressed interest in collaborating on developing articulation programs in the future. Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong and Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung introduced HUTECH’s foundational principles and direction for articulation programs, highlighting their flexibility and quality. They also presented potential faculty members currently at HUTECH who could participate in collaborative programs with Monash, further enhancing the quality of training and research.

This meeting not only allowed HUTECH and Monash University to exchange information and ideas but also set the stage for a lasting partnership aimed at improving educational quality and providing students with access to international learning and research opportunities.
