Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) recently engaged in discussions with representatives from Cavite State University (CvSU) (Philippines) to explore potential collaboration programs during a meeting on October 16. This meeting marks the beginning of many valuable academic and research exchange opportunities for students and faculty from both institutions.

At the start of the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, introduced the university's achievements and its vision for expanding international cooperation. She highlighted HUTECH's ongoing efforts to strengthen its global partnerships.

Representing CvSU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cristina M. Signo, Campus Administrator, expressed strong interest in collaborating with HUTECH, particularly in the areas of international conferences, joint research projects, and student exchange programs. CvSU has committed to supporting HUTECH students participating in exchange programs in the Philippines, offering free accommodation and covering travel expenses.

On HUTECH's side, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management, shared the university's interest in finding partners in the Philippines and looks forward to receiving proposals from CvSU by the end of November. HUTECH also plans to send detailed program outlines for CvSU to review and discuss in order to finalize the collaboration agreement.

In addition to student exchange programs, both parties recognized the potential for faculty research collaborations and exchange opportunities. Dr. Ly Thien Trang proposed staff exchanges between the two institutions, which would allow faculty and staff to gain new experiences and share knowledge. Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong also suggested that TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) students from CvSU could come to HUTECH for internships, enhancing the quality of education and expanding cooperative ties.
