Warm, lively, and full of excitement—these words perfectly capture the atmosphere of HUTECH’s New Year Gathering for the Year of the Snake 2025, held on February 5.
A festive start to the New Year at Saigon Campus
The event took place at Saigon Campus, bringing together university leaders, faculty, and staff in a cheerful New Year spirit. Among the attendees were Dr. Kieu Tuan—Secretary of the Party Committee and Standing Member of the University’s Board of Directors; Distinguished Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Minh Thi—Chairman of the Founding Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam—Vice Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors; Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc—President of the University; and other members of the Board of Presidents, faculty, and staff from across HUTECH.
As a cherished annual tradition, the New Year gathering not only creates a joyful and festive atmosphere but also strengthens the sense of community among the HUTECH family. More than just a celebration, the event serves as a source of motivation for faculty and staff to embark on a new academic year filled with ambitious goals and exciting challenges.

Following this, Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Minh Thi, representing the Founding Council, extended his best wishes for health and energy to all faculty and staff, encouraging them to continue their efforts in shaping the next generation of young talents for Vietnam. As he reflected on HUTECH’s nearly 30-year journey, he also recalled his personal connection to the university and its incredible growth.

Members of the Founding Council kicked off the new year with a traditional new year’s toast, symbolizing a year of prosperity and success
Lecturer Nguyen Thanh Tung from the Faculty of Information Technology expressed gratitude on behalf of all faculty and staff, extending wishes for health, success, and continued inspiration in teaching and research. He also conveyed hopes for strong leadership as HUTECH marks its 30th anniversary, striving for greater impact in education and training.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, faculty and staff enjoyed vibrant musical performances and took part in the traditional spring bud-picking, where red envelopes containing surprise cash gifts were handed out. HUTECH leaders also personally distributed lucky money to every faculty and staff member as a token of good luck, wishing them health, success, and a productive year ahead.
