On February 28, the Personnel Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) partnered with Altair Engineering to organize the HUTECH - Altair Data Science Day 2025. The seminar aimed to support faculty members in staying up to date with emerging trends and enhancing their ability to apply technology and data in research, teaching, and fostering collaboration within the data science community.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong hopes faculty will gain valuable insights into AI and Data Science
 
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President of HUTECH, expressed his hope that the seminar would provide valuable knowledge, helping faculty enhance their research and teaching capabilities while better supporting students in their academic and career development. He also expressed hope that this event would allow HUTECH faculty to further explore their potential in data science.
 
Opening the seminar, Mr. Lim Seng Tat, Southeast Asia Regional Sales Director at Altair Engineering, shared insights on education in the AI era. According to him, education plays a crucial role in shaping future leaders who can modernize industries. To achieve this, universities must integrate advanced teaching methods and modern technology, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the AI-driven world.

He also introduced Altair’s technology solutions for universities, including AI platforms, cloud computing, digital simulation, and modern enterprise software. These technologies not only optimize teaching processes but also drive research and innovation in education. Additionally, he shared insights into projects implemented at various universities to promote education and research based on digital simulation technology.
 
Continuing the seminar, Dr. Clinton Chee, Data Analytics Solutions Expert at Altair Engineering, presented Altair RapidMiner, an integrated data platform that helps businesses modernize, automate processes, and apply AI. He also explored the convergence of Data Fabric and AI Platform, contributing to the creation of a robust AI Fabric that optimizes workflows and accelerates AI adoption within organizations.

During his presentation, Dr. Chee also introduced AutoML technology, which enables organizations to implement AI without requiring programming knowledge. He emphasized that AI has now become an essential part of every industry, opening vast opportunities for businesses to adopt AI without complex coding skills.
 
Mr. Le Thanh Tuan, Director of PCB GraphTech Vietnam, shared insights on how businesses can leverage data to make strategic decisions. He highlighted how Altair RapidMiner empowers non-technical executives with AI-driven digital transformation solutions across industries.
