After two days of rigorous and objective evaluation, the ISO 21001:2018 Management System Surveillance Audit conducted by the Vietnam Certification Centre (QUACERT) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) officially concluded on the afternoon of March 7, recognizing multiple strengths in the university’s management system.

Dr. Le Vu Soai, Head of the QUACERT evaluation team, stated that the university has continued to maintain and improve various strengths in its management system (MS) compared to the previous assessment. These include sustaining a highly qualified faculty over the years, providing an excellent working, teaching, and learning environment, and ensuring that management processes are well-planned, executed, controlled, monitored, and effectively implemented. Additionally, the university boasts strong infrastructure, from hardware and software systems to office spaces, lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, and the integration of advanced technologies in management and teaching.
Experts present findings from the two-day evaluation
Overall, the certified management system at HUTECH showed no weaknesses, though certain requirements still need to be fully controlled. The evaluation team also provided recommendations for improvement, such as enhancing student progress tracking logs, refining instructor’s logs, and optimizing procedures for handling diploma and certificate complaints.
The QUACERT delegation expressed appreciation to HUTECH for its enthusiastic support, which enabled the smooth execution of the evaluation process. The team hopes that the results of this audit will help the university further strengthen its management system and continue its development in the future.

She highlighted their insightful feedback and recommendations across governance, management, training, and scientific research. While acknowledging the positive remarks, she emphasized the university’s commitment to addressing the experts’ valuable suggestions as a foundation for continuous improvement. These insights will help HUTECH better meet stakeholder expectations and enhance overall institutional quality. She extended her gratitude to the evaluation team for their time and wished all members good health.
