Recently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) to explore potential collaborations in youth talent development, international internship programs, and student exchange opportunities.
The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between the two parties through international internship initiatives, career skills development for students, and sharing best practices in implementing student exchange programs within the ASEAN region.

During the session, HUTECH representatives provided an overview of the university’s current international collaborations, with particular emphasis on its long-standing partnerships with Malaysian institutions such as Open University Malaysia (OUM), University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Each year, HUTECH sends students to these institutions for academic exchange programs.
In addition to Malaysia, HUTECH has also facilitated exchange opportunities for over 100 students in other Asian countries including Japan and South Korea, while welcoming international students from Laos, Cambodia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Nigeria, and more. This reflects the university’s commitment to expanding comprehensive international cooperation.

TalentCorp representatives introduced their role as an agency under Malaysia’s Ministry of Human Resources, responsible for developing and implementing national talent strategies. TalentCorp connects students with high-quality internship and employment opportunities, while also equipping them with essential skills to thrive in the global workforce. The agency is currently working with the Asia School of Business (ASB) on the ILHAM Antarabangsa research project, which aims to develop policies that enhance labor mobility within ASEAN.

At the same time, HUTECH faculty members also participated in the session to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in implementing international internship and student exchange programs. TalentCorp welcomed these inputs as practical references to help identify solutions and optimize international cooperation models in workforce development.

Concluding the meeting, HUTECH expressed its hope that TalentCorp would join the upcoming HUTECH International Job Fair 2025. This would not only continue to build on the current partnership but also create more international internship and career opportunities for students in the near future.
