HUTECH works with IT Business College and Akatsuka Academy (Japan) to enhance global partnerships

With the goal of expanding study, internship, and career development opportunities for students in Japan, on June 17, the Vietnam – Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with representatives from two reputable Japanese educational institutions: IT Business College and Akatsuka Academy.

During the meeting, the representative of IT Business College introduced a paid internship program for students majoring in Information Technology. This program, jointly implemented by the college, the Okayama Prefecture Information Technology Association, and its partners, allows students to intern at businesses while studying both Japanese language and IT at IT Business College. This model enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world environment while improving language proficiency and understanding of Japanese corporate culture—key factors for international integration.
The representative of Akatsuka Academy also introduced an internship program targeting students in tourism, travel, and hospitality. The Academy currently offers internship placements at luxury hotels and traditional ryokan (Japanese inns) in Japan. Participating students will experience a professional work environment while acquiring soft skills, cultural etiquette, and industry-specific Japanese language—essential foundations for building a career in international service sectors.

The VJIT representative expressed interest in and appreciation for the cooperation proposals from the Japanese partners. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Director of VJIT, emphasized that expanding partnerships with Japanese educational institutions and businesses is one of VJIT’s strategic directions, aiming to create more international learning and career opportunities for students, especially in high-demand fields such as information technology and tourism. The Institute also hopes to further explore and discuss detailed collaboration plans with IT Business College and Akatsuka Academy to jointly design internship and training programs suited to students’ capabilities and future career development trends.

Through this direct exchange, it is hoped that the collaboration between VJIT, IT Business College, and Akatsuka Academy (Japan) will continue to grow and expand. This is a promising sign, opening the door for VJIT students to access a professional, multicultural, and globally integrated environment.
