In celebration of the upcoming 10th anniversary and with the goal of expanding collaboration in education and recruitment between the university and Japanese enterprises, on July 7, the Vietnam - Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with Toyota Nankai’S, a company under the Toyota Corolla Nankai Group (Japan).

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Director of VJIT, expressed his appreciation to Toyota Nankai’S for trusting and hosting HUTECH students for internships and employment over the past years. He highly valued the company’s role in the training process and proudly noted that VJIT students have demonstrated strong competence and professionalism in such a rigorous working environment.

Currently, 39 HUTECH students are working at Toyota Nankai’S. According to Mr. Nakamura Masaki, Director of the company, HUTECH students not only meet technical requirements but also display self-learning abilities, initiative, and adaptability. Mr. Nakamura also expressed his desire to continue collaborating with HUTECH to expand recruitment and human resource development.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung shared that VJIT’s academic model is pioneering, integrating theory and practice, and embedding Japanese language and corporate culture training from the first year. This foundation allows students to quickly adapt when working at Japanese companies. VJIT also receives considerable support from the Consulate General of Japan and various Japanese business associations, offering students early exposure to real-world work environments.

In addition to its academic programs, VJIT regularly organizes career fairs and Japanese cultural events to connect students with employers, gain insights into industry needs, and adjust training content to better align with current trends.
