Recently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) (China), marking a new milestone in the University's education internationalization strategy.
The meeting was organized by the Department of International Relations and Project Management and the Faculty of Chinese Studies at HUTECH
At the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President of HUTECH – emphasized that international cooperation is a key strategic direction to enhance the quality of education, expand students’ access to advanced education systems, and develop global integration capacity. She also presented an overview of HUTECH's multidisciplinary academic structure, which includes over 60 undergraduate majors, 16 master's programs, and 3 doctoral programs.

In addition, Prof. Wen Jun – Vice President of UIBE – shared the university's history and educational reputation in China. Founded in 1951 in Beijing, UIBE is a key national university offering multidisciplinary education from undergraduate to doctoral levels, with notable strengths in economics, commerce, management, and international relations. UIBE currently hosts over 3,000 international students, reflecting its strong commitment to educational internationalization and global integration.

During the meeting, representatives from HUTECH and UIBE discussed and agreed on various strategic collaboration areas, including student and faculty exchange, joint academic programs, research cooperation, academic conferences, and cultural exchange activities. Based on these discussions, both universities officially signed the MoU, laying the foundation for a strategic partnership aimed at sustainable development in education and training.

The signing of the MoU not only marks an important beginning in promoting international educational cooperation and bilateral friendship but also opens up opportunities for students and faculty from both institutions to engage in a multicultural learning environment. This, in turn, enhances education quality, research capacity, and global integration skills in the context of globalization. With a shared vision, HUTECH and UIBE aim to implement a variety of meaningful and practical joint projects that meet the demands of the international labor market.

The event was also attended by Dr. Kieu Thi Van Anh – Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Studies at HUTECH – along with UIBE representatives, including Prof. Wang Tiedong – Secretary of the School of International Trade and Economics; Prof. Zou Weikang – Assistant Dean of the School of Government Administration; Mr. Du Peiyuan – Deputy Director of the International School; Mr. Liu Ming – Assistant Dean of the International School, Director of Development and Admissions.
