To strengthen industry-academia partnerships and enhance the quality of human resource training, on July 8, the Institute of Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement and the handover of sponsored equipment valued at over VND 1.5 billion from Dawoon Co., Ltd. (Korea).

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President - emphasized, “Industry collaboration is a key element in application-oriented education. HUTECH aims to equip students with practical skills, experience, and exposure right from the classroom. Partnering with businesses in training and research is essential for advancing toward a modern industrial foundation. I believe today’s signing marks the beginning of many meaningful projects that will generate useful solutions for the community and promote technological development.”

Representing the company, Mr. Choi Youngkyoung - CEO of Dawoon – stated, “We have many years of experience in robotics development and are eager to expand into new fields of engineering and technology. I hope this cooperation with HUTECH will help enhance our technological capacity and lead to the creation of products not only for the Korean market but also for Vietnam.”

Following the remarks, Mr. Choi Youngkyoung also gave a brief introduction to Dawoon Co., Ltd. Over its 29 years of development, Dawoon has continuously innovated and produced technology products for the livestock industry. The company’s notable products include cow milking robots, automatic feeding robots, and barn-cleaning robots. In recent years, Dawoon has integrated AI technology into its devices to improve competitiveness and meet market demands. These products help optimize production processes, reduce labor costs, boost productivity, and align with market needs. These are also the technologies the company aims to transfer and support HUTECH with for training and research purposes.
