HUTECH Institute of Engineering marks 30 years of leadership in engineering education

The 30th Anniversary Celebration of the HUTECH Institute of Engineering, held on July 19, marked three decades of dedicated contribution and reaffirmed the Institute’s strong position in training high-quality engineering professionals.
In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President of HUTECH - extended his congratulations to the entire Institute and acknowledged its remarkable achievements over the past 30 years. He emphasized that while the Institute has made significant progress, there is still much to achieve. He expressed his hope that the Institute of Engineering will continue its efforts to reach new milestones and to train future generations of skilled engineers who can meet the evolving demands of the modern era.

In the same spirit, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Director of the Institute of Engineering - reflected on the journey of formation and development, expressing his pride in what the Institute has achieved. “Thirty years is just enough time for us to build a solid foundation, and now it is time to create new breakthroughs together. In the upcoming phase, the Institute will focus on deepening teaching quality and gradually affirm its position on the map of engineering education in Vietnam and globally,” he shared.

As a token of congratulations and recognition of the Institute’s significant contributions over three decades, the Board of Directors and the Board of Presidents presented a meaningful commemorative gift to the Institute
Bouquets and gifts of appreciation were also presented to former leaders of the Institute, corporate partners, and benefactors - those who have always devoted support and resources to the development of the Institute
Representing the Institute’s partner businesses, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - CEO of ASV Vietnam - extended his congratulations and appreciation for the faculty’s contributions to education
On this occasion, the Institute of Engineering’s Alumni Liaison Committee was officially launched with 10 members, serving as a strong bridge connecting generations of students, spreading values, and honoring the proud traditions built over the past 30 years. Representing generations of alumni, Dr. Vu Van Hoang - President of the HUTECH Alumni Association and Chairman cum CEO of Dai Viet Consulting Design and Investment Construction JSC, emotionally shared, “We are incredibly proud to have received a solid education at HUTECH, where our dreams and aspirations were nurtured. Many Institute of Engineering alumni today hold key positions across various sectors, and our success stems from the dedication of our lecturers. I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to our teachers, who ignited our passion, shared their knowledge, and gave us the confidence to pursue our careers.”

Alongside the celebration, many meaningful scholarships were awarded to students in recognition of their persistent academic and research efforts, such as: Talent Scholarships, Outstanding Female Engineering Student Scholarships, and Overcoming Hardship Scholarships. Especially notable was the “Startup Engineering Student Scholarship” awarded to Nguyen Minh Hoang, an Automotive Engineering Technology student and Champion of HUTECH Startup Wings 2025, for his innovative project “TEA PIE – Compressed Herbal Milk Tea.” These scholarships not only represent well-deserved recognition but also serve as powerful encouragement, reinforcing students’ confidence and aspirations to continue developing their talents, creativity, and contributions to the community and society.
