Aiming to promote international cooperation and share experiences in educational quality assurance, on July 30, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with De La Salle University - Dasmariñas (Philippines).
At the beginning of the session, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong - Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management - provided an overview of HUTECH. In addition, Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Vice President of HUTECH - emphasized the university’s training model, development orientation, and outstanding academic activities, as well as the strategy to improve educational quality in line with international standards.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong - Vice Director of the Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance at HUTECH - and Ms. Do Minh Tam - Deputy Head of the Quality Assurance Department at the University of Economics and Finance (UEF) - also shared insights into the quality assurance systems implemented at their respective institutions, particularly their experiences in building and maintaining both national and international accreditation standards.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lucila Calairo - Dean for Academic Planning and Quality Management - expressed her strong impression of HUTECH’s modern, dynamic learning environment and its commitment to educational innovation. She highly appreciated the university’s well-invested and synchronized facilities, along with the openness, creativity, and progressive mindset of its management and faculty. According to her, these factors contribute to creating an advanced educational environment, ready for international integration and capable of meeting the increasing demands for training quality in today’s era.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lucila Calairo previously visited and worked with HUTECH during the external assessment of four academic programs under the AUN-QA framework in 2024. On this return visit, she was especially impressed by the significant and evident progress HUTECH has made in a short period, particularly in improving educational quality and advancing international-standard quality assurance activities.
