Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference to announce the networks of centers for excellence and talent training in 4.0 technology in the Northern and Southern regions. Representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) were Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh - Vice President, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President, affirming the University’s solid position within the national education system.

The conference took place with the participation of numerous experts, representatives of functional units, and higher education institutions
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc, leaders of functional units under the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as leaders of higher education institutions chairing the networks, and more than 100 delegates from domestic and international universities and enterprises.
In his directive speech at the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed the crucial role of science, technology, and innovation in the era of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. According to him, the establishment of training center networks is not only a step to concretize the orientations of Resolution 57 of the Politburo but also a practical action to strengthen the connection between academia - business - government, contributing to building a high-quality human resource for the country.

At the conference, the networks of centers for excellence training were announced, covering key fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry, biotechnology, transportation technology, advanced materials, and more. Each network connects universities, businesses, and research institutes with the goal of building an innovation ecosystem while promoting interdisciplinary training programs tied to the practical needs of the labor market.

Attending the conference also means that the University officially participates in implementing the tasks of the Project for Developing a System of Centers for Excellence and Talent Training in 4.0 Technology until 2030, under Decision No. 374/QĐ-TTg dated February 19, 2025, by the Prime Minister. This is a strategic step for HUTECH to expand cooperation with universities, research institutes, and domestic and international enterprises, creating a modern research - training environment, contributing to training engineers and scientists with global competitiveness.
