HUTECH reviews corporate cooperation activities, affirming its leadership in high-quality workforce training

On August 23, HUTECH’s Center for Corporate Relations held a conference to review corporate cooperation from 2020–2025 and launch the 2025–2030 strategy, marking an important step in working with businesses to train a skilled and knowledgeable young workforce.
Delivering the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President of the University, stated: “Application-oriented training associated with corporate partnerships is HUTECH’s core strategy, creating conditions for students to intern, practice practical skills, and meet labor market demands.” He also emphasized that the conference was an opportunity to review the diverse cooperation activities over the years, thereby continuing to focus on training a young, high-quality workforce that makes practical contributions to national development.

Dr. Kieu Xuan Hung, Chairman of the University Board of Directors, expressed his appreciation for businesses’ commitment to workforce training. He hoped the business community would continue working closely with HUTECH to expand strategic cooperation and help train a generation of dynamic, creative students who can meet the country’s development needs in the new era.

In the presentation session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Tung - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce, delivered a presentation on corporate cooperation activities of the Faculty during 2020–2025. He shared that sustainable cooperation with businesses, coupled with the continuous updating of knowledge, is the key to improving training quality, helping students gain more opportunities for practical exposure and comprehensive career development.

Following that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quyet Thang - Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, presented on cooperation between the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and businesses. He noted that the corporate semester is a central part of the curriculum, as this stage has helped students accumulate resilience, experience, and the confidence needed before entering the real working environment.

From an international integration perspective, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Director of the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), introduced the topic “Overseas internships: A bridge bringing students to the global stage.” In addition to proposing enhanced cooperation activities, he pointed out that international internship programs not only help students refine professional skills but also provide opportunities to experience multicultural environments, thereby improving global integration capacity.

Alongside faculty members, corporate partners also contributed many practical insights. Mr. Le Dinh Chinh Hieu - Head of Human Resources at Sacombank, shared that the cooperation model between educational institutions and businesses helps improve training quality, especially in the orientation of sustainable collaboration with HUTECH. In the same spirit of connection, Mr. Louis Nguyen - Chairman and CEO of SAM Investment Fund – affirmed his continued support for students in startup projects and investment fundraising programs.

Looking toward the next phase, Mr. Ho Duc Sinh – Director of the Center for Corporate Relations, presented a report on corporate cooperaton direction for 2025 - 2030. He outlined the overall objectives, implementation foundations, and proposed key focuses such as: refining the cooperation model, strengthening in-depth connections, expanding international integration, and applying digital technology to enhance operational efficiency.

At the conference, the University honored many organizations and divisions for their active contributions to corporate cooperation, recognizing their valuable engagement in supporting student training and skill development. In addition, 40 scholarships worth VND 200 million were awarded to students with outstanding academic achievements and training performance.

The conference was not only an opportunity to review the cooperation journey of 2020–2025 but also to open a strategic vision for the 2025–2030 period with many key directions. The event highlighted HUTECH’s sustained efforts in linking training with practice, as well as its role as a bridge between the University and businesses for students. It also fostered the spirit of cooperation and sharing among stakeholders, contributing to nurturing a generation of resilient, creative HUTECH students ready for global integration.
