On August 25, representatives of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), together with more than 120 delegates including leaders of government agencies, international organizations, major enterprises, and 50 universities nationwide, participated in the Forum on University - Industry Linkages 2025 organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in Da Nang.
With the theme “Triple Helix Cooperation in training, research, and the development of high technology and strategic technology,” the event was considered an important platform to promote connections between the Government - University - Industry, fostering breakthroughs in innovation and the development of a high-quality workforce.

According to MOET representatives, this year’s forum is a concrete step in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. In particular, the signing of 21 cooperation agreements between universities and major enterprises such as Thaco, Navigos Group, Hoa Phat, Panasonic, Mitsubishi Electric, and others has opened up new directions for strategic cooperation in key fields: artificial intelligence, semiconductors, energy technology, robotics-automation, aerospace, cybersecurity, and more.
The HUTECH delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President, and Mr. Chau Ngoc Lang - Vice Director of the Center for Corporate Relations, actively joined all activities within the forum. This was an important occasion for HUTECH to reaffirm its pioneering role in linking education with practice, while expanding strategic partnerships with leading corporations and enterprises.
At the signing ceremony, HUTECH officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd. and CT Group, focusing on human resource training, scientific research, and technology transfer in key areas.

Beyond the signing activities, HUTECH also actively participated in discussions at the plenary and thematic sessions of the Forum. The discussions centered on opportunities and demands for university-industry cooperation, the conditions for sustainable partnerships, as well as challenges and supportive policy solutions. In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the national digital transformation agenda, HUTECH’s commitments were regarded as a proactive move in innovating curricula, updating new technologies, and closely collaborating with businesses so that students can gain practical training and internships while still in school.

Through the expanded cooperation network, students will have more opportunities for future development
For HUTECH, the event served as a strong affirmation of the “University-Industry” orientation that the University consistently pursues. Through the expanded cooperation network, students will gain more opportunities to access modern technologies, join joint research projects, participate in paid internships, and become part of a high-quality workforce right after graduation. This is also how the University realizes its commitment to practice-based education, contributing to the common goal of Vietnamese higher education in its journey of integration and development.
