On October 27, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and its partners held a working session and signing ceremony to launch the project named “International Industrial Talents Education Special Program - INTENSE.”

Representing the partners were Prof. Chih-Hung Lee, Vice President and Head of the Office of International Relations at Minghsin University of Science and Technology, Ms. Ly Hsi Yen, Deputy Head of the Office of International Relations, and Ms. Tran Sieu Thao, Head of the INTENSE Project Office in Vietnam
The INTENSE project is jointly implemented by four leading universities in Taiwan (China): National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Minghsin University of Science and Technology, Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, and Kun Shan University. Funded by the Taiwanese government, the project offers full scholarships for international students in the fields of STEM, finance, and semiconductors.

As part of the INTACT Base initiative, the INTENSE project aims to enhance collaboration between prominent higher education institutions in Taiwan and Vietnam. Its core objective is to strengthen educational partnerships, promote the INTENSE project, and develop a high-quality global workforce through academic exchange, research, and international training activities.

At the same time, the INTENSE Project Representative Office (managed by Minghsin University of Science and Technology) was officially established at HUTECH Manpower Training Center (Thu Duc Campus). The office will serve as a focal point for promoting educational cooperation, organizing academic seminars and exchange activities, and guiding Vietnamese students in applying for INTENSE scholarships.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President of HUTECH, expressed his hope that the partnership between HUTECH and its partner universities would open up new opportunities for learning, research, and development for students from both sides. He noted that the establishment of the Representative Office and the implementation of the INTENSE scholarships not only provide high-quality study abroad opportunities for young people but also help expand HUTECH’s international cooperation network in engineering and technology.
