Recently, at the meeting "Summary of the VJIT student internship program in Japan for the 3rd time in the academic year 2023-2024", representatives of the Vietnam - Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) have heard 03 students share their working experiences in Japan.
Representatives of VJIT included Dr. Ha Minh Tuan - Vice Director, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam - Director Assistant, Mr. Nakamura Koji - Lecturer, and Ms. Nguyen Be Thao - Institute Specialist. In addition, there were 03 VJIT students completing their internships in Japan, namely Ms. Pham Anh Thu (Business Management - year of 2019), Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu (Automotive Engineering - year of 2019), Ms. Le Thi Cam Ly (Hotel Management - year of 2020), and especially her father - Mr. Le Van Ca.
Lecturers were listening to sharings of students
During the meeting, students shared their own experiences about the assigned tasks, company cultures, pros and cons of adapting to the living and working environment in Japan, memories with colleagues, etc. In particular, Ms. Pham Anh Thu and Ms. Le Thi Cam Ly worked at Hotel Kojoen and Restaurant Nikko respectively in Togichi for 09 months while Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu had her internship at Yamazaki Company for 12 months in Chiba.

Furthermore, Ms. Le Thi Cam Ly added “She had such a remarkable internship experience in Japan after overcoming her language barriers. Thanks to the job, she learned lots of abundant knowledge of restaurant management, connected with her co-workers, and received enthusiastic support from her superiors. Also, she highly appreciated the meticulousness and hospitality of the Japanese”.
At the end of the summary session
Mr. Le Van Ca, father of Ms. Cam Ly, took so much pride in his daughter after hearing her sharings and gratefully thanked VJIT for giving her such an awesome opportunity. In the end, Dr. Ha Minh Tuan congratulated students on successfully completing their internship programs, which will be a crucial foundation for students to enhance their language skills, specialized knowledge to achieve their goals as well as a strong motivation for lecturers to create more similar programs in the upcoming time.
