[Video] Students of the Faculty of Korean Studies showcased Korean proficiency at the 3rd "HUTECH Korean Speaking Contest"

In order to select potential candidates to represent HUTECH in the upcoming "National Korean Speaking Contest - Korean Embassy Cup 2024" organized by the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, on June 26th, the Faculty of Korean Studies - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) hosted the final round of the 3rd "HUTECH Korean Speaking Contest".

The contest attracted many contestants from HUTECH and other universities

Taking place at the Saigon Campus, the contest included Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu - Dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies; Ms. Khuong Thi Thanh - Vice Dean; Ms. Kim Su Yeon - Head of Administrative Department of Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Bak Jihyeon - Manager of King Sejong Academy HCM 3; Dr. Le Thi Phuong Thuy - Lecturer at the Faculty of Korean Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University; Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu - Deputy Head of Department of Korean Language and Cultures, Hong Bang International University. The contest was sponsored by the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

HUTECH’s representatives sent appreciative gifts and flowers to the Board of Judges

At the opening session, Ms. Kim Su Yeon encouraged the students to keep pursuing Korean, contributing to the expansion of interaction and connection between the two countries. She sent the contestants best wishes for their performance.

Ms. Kim sent words of encouragement to the contestant

During the Final round, the contestants delivered presentations on the relevant topics and answered situational questions from the Board of Judges. During the assessment and evaluation process, the contest has revealed the exceptional contestants winning the program's top prize while also earning the opportunity to represent HUTECH at the National Korean Speaking Contest - Korean Embassy Cup 2024.
